As a former business owner for over 10 years, we attended multiple networking events and trade shows.

1: Does Handshook provide customer support?
A: Handshook offer customer support via email at [email protected]
2: Will Handshook work at any event?
A: Handshook will scan what it is given, (ie. text on badges, cards, etc.) and will also scan QR codes that are not encrypted or proprietary for a specific event.
3: I have several team members; do I need multiple licenses?
A: Yes, you will need an install key for each person. With Handshook, the price of one license will pay for all of your events for that year.
4: Can Handshook scan any expo or trade show badge?
A: Yes, click the “scan badge/card” option and take a picture of the badge. The app will capture any printed text on the badge. Use the email and website suggestion features to gather more info about your connection.
5: Can Handshook scan digital business cards and QR codes?
A: Yes, Handshook is compatible with most popular digital business card platforms like HiHello, Popl, Blinq, and LinkedIn’s QR code to profile feature. It works with any QR code that leads to a public link but not with proprietary QR codes that are encrypted at a specific event.
6: Will Handshook work if there is no wifi or internet available? Is there an offline option?
A: If you experience bad connectivity to the internet while at an event, simply use your phone camera to take pictures of the badges and business cards. You can upload them later to the App with the “upload” button option, when you have a better internet connection. Our offline option is expected to be available in 2025.

Is it possible to do bulk scanning from the stored images of business cards?

Yes! You can scan a single card or a stack. In addition, you can add one or multiple cards from stored images.

What CRM systems does Handshook integrate with?

Currently data can be exported into a CSV so it can be imported into the CRM of your choice. Our #1 feature request is a direct integration with CRMs. However, which CRM we should start with is where they lines get blurry. We’ve had requests for several different CRMs including Salesforce, HubSpot, PipeDrive, and Zoho. We are working on the first 3 in 2025 in addition to Zapier so that data can be used across platforms.

At first glance we have some AI features built-in that automatically label fields such as email and job title. Also it works on event badges as well, suggests common email formats like firstname.lastname@domain, and allows you to Find new connections on LinkedIn right within the app.
